Two sessions parliamentary meetings, the Chinese government unveiled the official draft of the 15th Five-Year Plan, signaling a new era of moderate but higher-quality growth. The government set a GDP growth, its lowest in decades, reflecting a deliberate shift away from raw quantity toward economic resilience and technological self-reliance. A new AI Plus initiative aims to value AI-related industries at over 10 trillion yuan by 2030, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence into traditional manufacturing and the low-altitude economy. To support this, China plans to allocate nearly 1.3 trillion yuan specifically for science and technology development in 2026 alone.
