Rules for New Beef Export Quotas.

Argentina and China have finalized the management rules for a 511,000-ton annual beef export quota, which will increase by 2% annually until 2029. Under this agreement, the Chinese government will monitor shipments via a "current account" system; while exports within the quota maintain a 12.5% tariff, any volume exceeding the limit will trigger a 55% surcharge. To ensure market predictability, Argentina has requested that China publish monthly updates on the status of the quota usage.
