Breakthrough In EV Range 1,000 KM Battery.

Chinese scientists have just announced a major leap in electric vehicle (EV) technology. A team led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences has developed a new ultra-high-energy-density battery that effectively doubles the range of current high-end EVs. By using a new electrolyte system that replaces oxygen atoms with fluorine, the battery achieved an energy density exceeding 700 Wh/kg. Crucially for local drivers in northern provinces, the battery maintained nearly 400 Wh/kg in temperatures as low as -50°C, addressing one of the biggest hurdles for EV adoption in colder climates. Mass production is currently slated for the end of 2026.
