Mexico Sends 37 Cartel Members to the U.S.

In a major move to address pressure from the Trump administration, Mexico’s Security Minister Omar García Harfuch announced the transfer of 37 high-impact cartel members to the United States today. This is the third such transfer in the past year, totaling 92 individuals sent to face U.S. justice. The Sheinbaum administration is highlighting these "compelling results" to head off threats of unilateral U.S. military intervention against criminal networks. The individuals transferred today reportedly include figures from the Sinaloa, Jalisco New Generation, and Northeast cartels. They are a call from Donald Trump that leaves questions to be asked.
