Mexico Enacts General Law on Circular Economy.

Mexico officially published a groundbreaking law that fundamentally changes how products are made and sold in the country. The law moves beyond simple recycling. It mandates "Extended Producer Responsibility," meaning companies are now legally responsible for the entire lifespan of their products—from design to disposal. Manufacturers must now design products for repairability and modularity. This aligns with Environment Minister Alicia Bárcena's announcements at the Davos Forum this week regarding the creation of new "circular economy parks" to process industrial waste.
