Canada’s Governor General, Mary Simon, arrived in Mexico today for a three-day official visit. She is scheduled to meet with President Sheinbaum at the National Palace to discuss Indigenous rights, gender equality, and North American trade. This visit is particularly significant as both countries navigate a complicated relationship with Washington, especially following recent U.S. comments regarding the "irrelevance" of current trade agreements.
