Smart Forest 6G Connectivity Pilot.

In a major leap for 2026, Sweden’s massive forestry sector has begun a nationwide rollout of 6G-enabled Smart Forest sensors. These tiny, biodegradable devices are scattered across millions of hectares to monitor soil moisture, sap flow, and early-warning signs of beetle infestations in real-time. By integrating this data with satellite imagery, Swedish timber companies can now perform precision harvesting, only cutting trees that have reached peak carbon-capture maturity while leaving the rest of the ecosystem undisturbed, maximizing both profit and biodiversity.
