Central Bank Holds Rates.

Sweden's central bank, the Riksbank, opted to keep its key policy rate steady at 1.75% today. While the domestic economy is showing signs of recovery, policymakers expressed caution regarding international volatility. Officials noted that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is driving energy price fluctuations and impacting household confidence. Despite the steady rate, the government recently lowered its 2026 growth forecast slightly to 2.8% (down from 3.0%), though this would still represent the strongest growth in five years.
