The Rise Of K-Food And K-Beauty Tech.
South Korea is doubling down on its cultural exports, but the focus has shifted from pop stars to the plates and products people use every day. Instant noodle exports hit a record high this February. President Lee Jae-myung has officially designated K-Food as a strategic export industry, aiming to use the global popularity of Netflix hits like K-Pop Demon Hunters to brand Korean cuisine as a premium global lifestyle choice. In a major medical-tech breakthrough this week, researchers at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology) unveiled a wearable OLED Cap. The flexible device uses near-infrared light to stimulate hair follicles, with clinical trials showing a 92% reduction in a key marker of hair aging. It’s being hailed as the next major K-Beauty export.
