Protecting Crown-Jewel Industries.

With global competition in semiconductors and batteries heating up, the Japanese government introduced a draft decree aimed at protecting its crown-jewel industries. Japan is currently a global leader in perovskite solar cells and next-gen rechargeable batteries. The new measures are designed to ensure that taxpayer-funded breakthroughs don't slip away through international research loopholes.
