Anniversary Tokyo Subway Sarin Attack.

Today, Japan paused to remember the victims of the 1995 AUM Shinrikyo sarin gas attack. At 8:00 AM, station staff and survivors held a moment of silence at Kasumigaseki Station. The anniversary comes at a time when the government is facing new challenges in public safety; crime figures in Japan have climbed for the fourth consecutive year, now exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
