Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.

Nigeria is making rapid progress on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, a 700km project designed to transform the nation's economic corridor. Section 1 of the highway stretching from Victoria Island to Eleko is nearing full completion. Significant portions have already been opened to traffic, easing congestion in the Lagos metropolitan area. The highway will eventually connect multiple coastal states, reducing logistics costs for trade and providing a vital link for the West African sub-region. The Ministry of Works has recently heightened security along the new route following reports of infrastructure vandalism, emphasizing that the road is a protected national asset.
