East Africa Climate Tragedies In Ethiopia & Kenya.

A week of relentless rain has devastated local communities across the Horn of Africa. The Gamo Zone is in mourning as the death toll from massive landslides in Gacho Baba, Kamba, and Bonke districts has reached at least 64 people, with over 120 still missing. Rescue teams are currently digging through mud and debris by hand in high-altitude villages. Flash floods have claimed 42 lives this week. In the capital, commuters are facing navigation nightmares as major roads were washed away and vehicles were submerged or swept into drainage channels.
