Extreme Weather In Mozambique.
A devastating report released today by Mozambican authorities reveals that over 1 million people have been impacted by extreme weather since the start of the 2025-2026 cycle. The combination of Tropical Cyclone Gezani, severe flooding, and cholera outbreaks has claimed at least 289 lives and destroyed more than 30,000 homes. The education sector has been hit particularly hard, with over 370,000 students displaced. Rescue operations are ongoing as the country continues to face the intensifying effects of climate change.
