Archeologists recently unveiled the top six discoveries of 2025/2026, and the standout find is a Jade Pig Dragon unearthed at the Zhengjiagou site in Hebei province. Dating back approximately 6,500 years to the Hongshan culture, this artifact is believed to be the earliest known prototype of the Chinese dragon. Evidence of fire usage and stone tool workshops dating back 129,000 years.
