Panama Canal Port Inspections.

A new diplomatic row has surfaced between Beijing and Washington regarding shipping. The U.S. has accused China of retaliatory and excessive inspections of Panama-flagged vessels at Chinese ports. This follows Panama’s recent decision to cancel a contract with a Hong Kong-based operator for ports on the Panama Canal. China’s Foreign Ministry has denied these claims, accusing the U.S. of attempting a canal grab and asserting that its port inspections are within historical norms.
