Authorities in Zhejiang Province, a global hub for retail and e-commerce, have launched a massive consumer protection initiative aimed at boosting domestic spending. The province is adding 10,000 offline retailers to a no-reason return program, with nearly 1,000 stores supporting returns across different regions. The plan includes the development of 800 neighborhood service zones where residents can access healthcare, dining, and groceries within a 15-minute walk, part of a broader effort to improve the market order and quality of life in cities like Hangzhou and Ningbo.
