BASF Inaugurates World-Scale Verbund.

In a major win for China’s industrial sector, the German chemical giant BASF officially inaugurated its massive new Verbund site in Guangdong Province today. The site covers four square kilometers and represents one of the largest foreign investments in the global chemical industry. Notably, the facility is designed to be 100% powered by renewable electricity through long-term green power agreements and offshore wind farm investments, setting a new benchmark for sustainable manufacturing in the region.
