The School is Ours.

La Escuela es Nuestra (The School is Ours) is a Mexican government program designed to improve public basic and upper-secondary schools by delivering funds directly to the community. Instead of dealing with heavy bureaucracy, each school forms a parent-led committee (CEAP) that decides how to spend the money whether on infrastructure repairs, equipment, extended hours, or student meal services. Funding amounts are based on the number of students and the school's level, ranging from 200,000 to 1.5 million pesos, with priority given to schools in marginalized areas or those lacking basic services like water and electricity.
