The Archdiocese of Mexico is calling.

In response to the heightened international tension following the U.S. intervention in Venezuela and the capture of Nicolás Maduro, the Archdiocese of Mexico has issued an urgent call for "careful speech" and diplomatic prudence. Through its editorial in Desde la Fe, the Church warns that in times of crisis, the way we communicate has real-world consequences for vulnerable populations. By advocating for a "disarmed peace" and emphasizing the moral duty of truthful information, the Archdiocese seeks to prevent language from becoming a tool of symbolic violence or further polarizing a region already marked by uncertainty.
