Strengthening the Mexico-Japan Partnership.
Amidst shifting global trade dynamics, Mexico and Japan are moving to significantly deepen their economic and legislative ties. Members of the Mexican Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee recently met with a high-level Japanese delegation led by Minister Horii Iwao. Japan is currently Mexico's largest Asian investor and sixth-largest trading partner. The two nations have committed to periodic interparliamentary meetings every three years to update their bilateral free trade agreement and modernize long-term economic ties.
