Regional governments are taking aggressive steps to address utility stress through new legislative mandates. The State of Mexico has committed to installing clean energy systems in over 1,200 public buildings by the end of 2026. The goal is for each facility to achieve at least 75% energy efficiency. In Mexico City, a new bill requires all new residential and commercial developments to guarantee 70% water sustainability.
