Sowing Life.

Sembrando Vida (Sowing Life) is a major social welfare program in Mexico that pays rural farmers to restore the land through agroforestry. Participants receive a direct monthly payment of 6,450 pesos to work on 2.5 hectares of their own land, combining traditional crops (like corn and beans) with fruit and timber-producing trees. Beyond the money, the program provides seeds, tools, and technical training through Farmer Learning Communities, where neighbors work together to improve soil health, fight poverty, and ensure their families have enough to eat.
