Plan México Billion Infrastructure Overhaul.
The Mexican government has officially unveiled its 2026–2030 Infrastructure Investment Plan, a massive initiative aimed at modernizing the country’s energy, transport, and healthcare systems. Unlike previous models that favored full privatization, this plan emphasizes state oversight, with the government maintaining majority control in joint ventures. For 2026, the plan earmarks MX$722 billion for immediate projects, including the expansion of the Nayarit airport and the completion of highway corridors connecting Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta. As part of the rollout, the first 20 of 100 planned industrial parks were delivered this month across 10 states, aiming to boost domestic manufacturing in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
