Noche Buena: Mexico’s Special Christmas Beer Tradition.
In Mexico, the holiday season officially begins when a special beer called Noche Buena hits the shelves. Unlike the light Mexican beers sold around the world, this is a dark, strong, "Bock-style" beer with flavors of caramel and coffee that was first created by a German brewer 100 years ago. It is only sold for a few weeks each year and is almost impossible to find outside of Mexico. Because it is so rare and pairs perfectly with traditional Christmas dinners, families often stock up on crates of it to share with friends during their celebrations.
