Large Women’s Day March In Mexico City.
Thousands of people gathered in Mexico City to mark International Women’s Day with demonstrations calling for greater safety and justice for women. Protesters filled major streets and public squares, many wearing purple and carrying signs demanding action against gender-based violence. Participants included women of many ages and backgrounds. Many activists used the march to highlight ongoing concerns about violence against women and the need for stronger protection, better investigations, and broader social change. The demonstration was one of the largest public gatherings in the capital this year and showed the continuing strength of the women’s rights movement in the country.
