During ceremonies connected to International Women’s Day, President Claudia Sheinbaum recognized the contributions of women in the nation’s armed forces and public service. Speaking at a military sports complex in the capital, she praised women for their work in national defense and other areas of public life. Officials said the month would include additional programs celebrating women’s achievements across society.
