Cosechando Soberanía (Harvesting Sovereignty) is a comprehensive support program launched in 2025 to help small and medium-sized farmers and fishers increase food production. Its main goal is to make Mexico self-sufficient in basic staples like corn, beans, rice, and milk. The program offers low-interest loans (up to 1.3 million pesos), high-quality seeds, and technical advice. It also cuts out "middlemen" by helping producers sell directly to companies or government agencies like Alimentación para el Bienestar, ensuring farmers get a fairer price for their hard work.
