Cold Front 28 to Bring Polar Temperatures.

The arrival of Cold Front 28 and a polar air mass this Wednesday, January 14, 2026, will bring a sharp temperature drop and severe weather across much of Mexico. Extreme cold is expected, with temperatures plummeting to -15°C in Durango and freezing conditions affecting the north, center, and east of the country. This system will also trigger heavy rains in the southeast, potential snowfall in Chihuahua, and hail in the Valley of Mexico, where authorities have already activated weather alerts for the capital and surrounding areas.
