Acquisition of Super Hercules Aircraft.

The Mexican Air Force (FAM) officially announced the acquisition of its first Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 Super Hercules tactical airlifter today. This makes Mexico the first country in Latin America to operate this advanced version of the aircraft. The "stretch" version of the Super Hercules adds 15 feet of cargo space and significant improvements in fuel efficiency and range. It is intended to modernize Mexico’s aging fleet and enhance its capability for disaster response, search and rescue, and regional security missions.
