20 Federal Departments Ready For Fifa.

As the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues, Security Minister Omar García Harfuch has launched Plan Kukulkán, a comprehensive national security strategy. The plan coordinates 20 federal departments and nearly 100,000 personnel, including the National Guard and the armed forces. The announcement comes alongside reports of a 47% reduction in homicides in Jalisco following major operations against local cartels earlier this year. President Claudia Sheinbaum recently stated that despite global tensions, the risk of a major security disruption during the tournament remains very low.
