Global leaders and industry heads gathered in Paris for a landmark Nuclear Energy Summit. Led by French President Emmanuel Macron and IAEA Director Rafael Grossi, 31 nations reaffirmed nuclear power as the essential backbone for reaching carbon neutrality by 2050. China announced the successful full-scale operation of its first fourth-generation nuclear plant, while the EU pledged €200 million to fast-track Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Countries like Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Turkey are now in advanced stages of integrating nuclear power into their national grids to balance energy sovereignty with climate goals.
