Bilaterals III Milestone.

On March 2, 2026, Switzerland and the European Union signed the landmark "Bilaterals III" package in Brussels. This agreement modernizes the 1999 free-movement rules and introduces new cooperation in electricity trading, food safety, and health. For businesses, the biggest win is a streamlined online process for work permits, which can now be approved in as little as five days, restoring legal certainty that had been shaky since 2021.
