$26 Million Support Package.
Coinciding with today's date, the Swedish government unveiled a new $26 million (SEK 275 million) aid package specifically targeting humanitarian needs in Ukraine. Unlike previous military-heavy packages, this allocation is largely dedicated to children's welfare. It includes funding for school meals in frontline areas, mental health services for traumatized youth, and support for the Ukrainian Red Cross. Sweden and Denmark also recently finalized a separate agreement to jointly procure $250 million in air defense systems to protect Ukrainian infrastructure from drone attacks.
