The 2030 Renewable Roadmap.

The Ministry of Climate and Energy officially announced its 2026 Energy Transition Plan this week. South Korea is doubling down on its goal to deploy 100GW of renewable energy by 2030. The plan includes a structured phase out of coal-fired power plants while simultaneously integrating nuclear energy as a bridge to ensure a stable power supply. Key reforms include adjusting industrial electricity tariffs lowering daytime rates while raising evening prices to encourage more efficient energy consumption across the country's manufacturing sectors.
