In a bid to bolster its domestic AI and tech ecosystem, the South Korean government announced a new special citizenship pathway for highly skilled foreign professionals. Starting tomorrow, February 11, foreign talent working in private sector emerging industries such as semiconductors, batteries, and AI will have access to an expedited application process for Korean citizenship. This move aligns with the Ministry of Science and ICT’s goal of making Korea a top-three global AI powerhouse.
