South Korea And Japan Conduct Joint Rescue Operation Near Dokdo.

In a rare display of operational cooperation, the South Korean and Japanese Coast Guards are currently engaged in a joint search-and-rescue mission. The operation, now in its second day, is focused on locating an Indonesian crewmember who fell overboard from a fishing vessel approximately 195 kilometers northeast of the Dokdo islets. A 5,000-ton South Korean vessel and a 1,250-ton Japanese vessel are working together despite the ongoing territorial sensitivities surrounding the area.
