Nuclear Planning Unit In Seoul.

A new report from the Korea Herald confirmed today that U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) has established a dedicated nuclear planning unit, known as the J10 Strategic Integration Element. Operating under a U.S. Army colonel, this unit is designed to integrate conventional South Korean military operations with U.S. nuclear strategy. This move comes amid a strategic dilemma for Seoul: the U.S. has recently begun redeploying critical THAAD and Patriot missile batteries from the Korean Peninsula to the Middle East to support the ongoing conflict with Iran, leaving some in South Korea concerned about regional readiness.
