Bithumb Accidentally Airdrops Bitcoin.

In one of the largest financial errors in history, the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb accidentally distributed over 600,000 Bitcoins to roughly 700 customers today. The exchange intended to send small rewards worth about $1.37 (2,000 KRW) but instead sent at least 2,000 Bitcoins per person. While Bithumb claims to have recovered 99.7% of the funds by freezing accounts within 35 minutes, the error caused a temporary 17% flash crash in Bitcoin prices on the exchange.
