ispace Unveils Lunar Lander.
The Tokyo-based lunar exploration company ispace announced a major strategic shift yesterday. They are integrating their separate Japanese and U.S. lander designs into a single, high-performance model named ULTRA. While this new unified approach is designed to increase mission quality, it comes with a significant schedule update: the company's first U.S.-led mission to the moon is now slated for 2030. This follows a decision to replace the lander's engine with a more proven alternative to ensure a successful landing.
