Breaking Tourism Rebound.

Fresh government data released this week shows that Japan set a new record for inbound tourists in February, with nearly 3.5 million visitors. This surge was driven largely by travelers from South Korea (1.08 million) and Taiwan, more than compensating for a 45% drop in visitors from China amid ongoing regional tensions. The boom is providing a significant boost to the economy, though it has led to new over-tourism measures, such as the upcoming pre-reservation system for bus parking at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go.
