Waikiki Hotels House Evacuees.

In a rare move, iconic hotels like the Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider have opened their doors to residents displaced by the North Shore flooding. Governor Josh Green coordinated with the Hawaii Tourism Authority to secure these rooms as traditional shelters reached capacity or became inaccessible due to rising water. Despite the emergency, officials are currently advising tourists not to cancel upcoming trips, as airport operations and most resort areas remain functional.
