Space-Based Enviromental Monitoring.

With the wildfire season approaching, Greece is making a historic leap into space-based environmental monitoring. Officials announced that four specialized CubeSats have completed final testing. Part of a larger satellite constellation, these fire-hunters use infrared imaging to detect thermal anomalies from space every 15 minutes. This technology is being integrated into a new million national strategy to shield iconic cultural sites including Delphi and Olympia from climate-related threats like flash floods and extreme heat, setting a benchmark for UNESCO-protected regions worldwide.
