Court Upholds Convictions Of Golden Dawn.

An appeals court in Athens has upheld criminal convictions against dozens of members and associates of the far-right political group Golden Dawn. The ruling confirmed the earlier decision that the organization functioned as a criminal group. The case stems from a long investigation into violent activities linked to the party, including the 2013 killing of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas. That incident played a major role in the legal crackdown on the organization. Forty-two individuals connected to the group were originally convicted, including former leader Nikos Michaloliakos. The court’s decision was welcomed by supporters of the victims, who described it as an important step for justice and democracy in Greece.
