Resolution On Slavery Reparations.

In a historic move led by Ghana, the United Nations General Assembly has officially adopted a resolution recognizing the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity. The resolution passed with 123 votes in favor. Notably, the United States, Israel, and Argentina voted against it, while 52 countries abstained. Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama advocated for reparative justice, which includes formal apologies, financial compensation, and the return of looted cultural artifacts to African nations. This represents a major diplomatic victory for the 54-member African Group, the largest regional bloc at the UN.
