AU-Passport and Digital Nomad Corridor.

The African Union has reached a critical milestone in 2026 with the official rollout of the AU Digital Passport for skilled professionals. This program creates a Digital Nomad Corridor across 15 pilot countries, allowing tech workers, healthcare professionals, and educators to move and work across borders without the need for traditional, time-consuming visa applications. This initiative is designed to retain talent within the continent by making it easier for African professionals to collaborate on regional projects, from trans-continental rail construction to pan-African healthcare networks.
