Addis Ababa’s Sweeping Transformation Praised.

An African Union envoy has hailed the rapid modernization of Addis Ababa as a blueprint for the continent’s urban future. The city, which hosts the AU headquarters, is currently undergoing one of the largest urban renewal initiatives in its history. The transformation includes the Beautifying Sheger riverside development and the construction of the Chaka Smart City, aimed at enhancing urban living standards through green infrastructure. The envoy noted that the city's evolving skyline and new road networks are positioning the capital as a dynamic center for continental diplomacy and global business.
