Apollo is the Olympian god of the sun, light, music, poetry, healing, and prophecy. As the son of Zeus and Leto and the twin brother of Artemis, he is often depicted as the "ideal" Greek man—handsome, athletic, and beardless. He is a god of order and reason, famously associated with the Oracle at Delphi, where he communicated the will of the gods to mortals. While he is a protector of the young and a master of the lyre, Apollo also possesses a darker side; as the "far-shooter" with a silver bow, he could bring about sudden death or devastating plagues, as seen during the Trojan War. His dual nature as both a healer and a bringer of disease makes him one of the most complex and influential figures in the Greek pantheon.
Moral: Mess with the wrong one and he will bring you disease. Mess the right one and he will bring you richness. Healing, health, and fruit.
