The Great Ice Sculpture Hot Pot Festival.
In the final weeks of Harbin’s famous International Ice and Snow Festival, organizers unveiled a record-breaking attraction: a functional Hot Pot table made entirely of ice. The table, which can seat 20 people, features a central hollow where a real, simmering copper pot of spicy broth is placed. To prevent the table from melting, engineers used a specialized insulation layer beneath the pot, allowing diners to enjoy steaming mutton and vegetables while sitting on ice benches in -20°C temperatures. The Fire and Ice dining experience became the most photographed spot of the season, with visitors wearing thick parkas and fur hats while dipping food into the boiling broth, creating a surreal scene of steam rising against the backdrop of glowing ice pagodas.
