Solar Power Poised to Overtake Coal.

For the first time in history, China's solar power capacity is projected to overtake coal in 2026. Projections from the China Electricity Council indicate that non-fossil fuel sources could account for 63% of the power mix this year. This shift comes as the green energy sector continues to be a massive economic engine; new analysis shows that clean energy sectors contributed roughly $2.1 trillion to China's economy last year, driving more than 90% of its total investment growth.
